Meanwhile, a world away, the leader of the Dregs was facing his own dilemma. Kaz's men were disappearing one by one, plucked off the street by a shadow. Pekka Rollins is back in town sooner than Kaz thought he would be, claiming alliance with the self proclaimed "Crow Killer". To make matters worse, his enemy had made Kaz's Wraith their own, and he's starting to run out of options.

There's a scene in A Gathering Of Shadows where Kell tells Lila about the history of the unmasking ceremony in the Essen Tasch. He tells her about an assassin who snuck into the tournament to get close the the royals and won, only to attack the royals and kill the Faroan Queen. This is the story of that assassin.

I'm going to be writing a different type of story it's going to be apart of my favorite tv show heartland and just me on the ranch along with my favorite heartland family so let's just get started shall we? This is going to take place during season 2 and the beginning of season 3.
