The Leap is a short poem describing the jump of a long jumper. However, it also has an ulterior meaning for the reader to discern.

Eyes hold all the secrets, but Ky isn't interested in uncovering anybody's secrets but Matthias'. Kylin is pushing 18, never been in a relationship, trying to graduate, and has her eyes set on Matthias. Little does she know, Matthias is more than "the boy one corridor down". Long-jumper by day, heartbreaker by night, he's a broken Cinderella project no girl should be concerning herself with. Except, several are. Willingly. But Ky loves Cinderella projects. She was born for them. And even if the odds are against there being any room for her, she's determined enough to force her way in. But the secrets she discovers once all the doors are open give her two choices; to run and hide, or to just run.
