Maria Rivera, was Miguel Rivera's older sister. Like her Great-Great Grandfather, she leaves to be a musician. She promised to return but after 3 years of waiting, her family gives up hope and realizes that she won't be back. Miguel's family never talks about her and all that Miguel knows was that she was just like their Great-Great Grandfather. When Miguel ends up in the Land of The Dead, Miguel meets Hector and Maria, both of who hate Ernesto Del A Cruz and his daughter Elivara Del A Cruz, who Miguel thinks are his Great-Great Grandfather and Sister.
