Izuku es un niño con una vida bastante complicada ya que el es alguien que no posee un quirk , es decir , una habilidad que lo caracteriza , gracias a esto es rechazado por la mayoría de personas incluso su propia madre y hermana las cuales si poseen un quirk , izuku es molestado y maltratado por su hermana y compañeros de la escuela los cuales le llaman perdedor , a pesar de todo esto izuku tiene la esperanza que algún día sera un gran héroe y sera aceptado por todos pero este sueño se ve destrozado cuando su mayor héroe y figura a seguir le dice que solo seria un estorbo esto lleva a que el quirk de izuku despierte bueno en vez de quirk el posee ahora un minus.
