It has been years since Piranin and his schoolmates graduated and went their separate ways. Piranin, unlike the others, remained in the town his former school resides in. He's a teenager now, and lives in a nearby lake, becoming a local legend, but, growing increasingly lonely, uses some clothing left behind by those who went to the lake to disguise himself as a human, and actually made some friends. But how long will he be able to keep his identity a secret? And why does he carry around that strange book?

An alternate ending of MHS: Covered Cries and Severed Ties where Chaps fails to get Kaito to remember himself as Tubee and return him to MHS, leaving him to begin a new life at Iwata Junior High and the rest of the people at MHS to mourn the loss of Tubee. However, not all may be lost, and this ending may be happy after all.
