Agape Viel Bueno, a new student at the University of Edinburgh, entered the school to study pharmacology. While taking a walk through the campus, Agape stumbled upon a secret library. She was then captivated by the painting of a man that is sitting silently inside the library with the other dusty books. After accidentally discovering the secret library, she meets Paxton Rivero, a psychology student and the two become friends immediately. While they were out one night, they overheard two people talking about a person called the lady of light. Curious, Paxton is determined to know who that person is, while Agape does not want to be involved in a sketchy conflict. While in pursuit for the lady of light, Agape also has secrets hidden somewhere. With her determination to not get involved, will her willpower last to keep her dark secrets hidden? Just like how the moon keeps some of its parts hidden. Slowly, revealing every part of herself. Date Started: January 2025 - ongoing

FOREWORD This book is greatly inspired by one of my childhood fantasies Jess De Silva from the Mediator Series of Meg Cabot. Then another empowered female writer came in the picture, VE Schwab, who fed my fondness of paranormals with her Archived Series and City of Ghosts, which actually has the same near death experience as my character. I started this one a decade ago but life happens and I have to put this down for so long until this pandemic. Time was sufficient thus I turn to my hobbies to make the most of the gift of time. One of them is writing. Originally, this was just for me. To test my capabilities, to put my mind into writing, but then in the course of penning this, I decided to share this with you, to those who would rather live in their own fictional worlds. Afterall, we are all in-betweens bounded by our fears of not being enough or not doing enough. May this remind you of the power of trying and that you do not have to be enough for others. You just have to be enough for yourself. Also, may we all be embolden by our real life worlds, though tiring and crazy, to build our own. Cliché, but fictions are created to make our reality bearable. For those who still think that they are stuck, sharing this escape with you. - Taraa Muñoz

A sad fiction of a widowed man's journal full of stories about his deceased wife. ''She was so fragile, so weak but so breathtakingly beautiful. I don't know if it was her graceful walk, the way her hair fell in front of her chest or it was just how the light shone on her baby blues but I was captivated. As if I was spellbound. Cast under a spell by the gods, for a reason. I was under a trance, like a moth to a flame or like a fisherman seduced by the voice of his mermaid waiting at shore, humming a song like an angel. I was charmed by her voice as she ordered her tea, enchanted by her exquisite demeanor and sophistication. She radiated innocence, but also elegance and solitude. Her strawberry fragrance sent me over the edge as she walked by. Her skirt swished as she passed and showed off her long legs. She was beautiful, to say the least. From the minute I laid eyes on her, I knew she had to be mine. And if she was to take her last breath, it was going to be with me, in my arms, while she listened to the sound of my heart beating as her own slowed down to a stop.''

A book where the flowers turn red to bleed, wither, die and bloom again with a new fire, an endless beauty of strength, fierceness and magnificence. So is the fire rose.
