La poesia narra del mito classico di Orfeo ed Euridice, una delle più belle e più tragiche storie d'amore. La poesia risente anche delle influenze del brano musicale di Kate Bush "Running up that Hill (A Deal with God)". Fare un patto con una divinità o un demone è sempre rischioso, e le conseguenze sono sempre tragiche.

Euridice ha sempre fatto tutto nel modo giusto: voti perfetti, nessun errore, nessuna distrazione. Ma quando l'ultimo giorno di scuola arriva, insieme alla fine della sua adolescenza, scopre che non sa davvero chi è. Figlia di una madre brillante e di un padre caduto in rovina, cresciuta tra miti greci e silenzi troppo pesanti, Euridice ha sempre creduto di dover essere perfetta per meritare qualcosa. Non cerca un Orfeo che la salvi: vuole salvarsi da sola. Lei vuole scegliere se stessa. Una nuova estate. Una nuova città.

Pequeña reelaboración del mito que a muchos antiguos fascinó: la historia trágica de Orfeo, el citarista, y de Eurídice, una ninfa. Esta reelaboración añade narraciones de paisajes y diálogos de los personajes, intervenciones divinas y duras decisiones. El móvil de la obra es el amor.
