    Most of the events unfolded in the book are based on real-life situations. The protagonist struggled in life going through strenuous ordeal. His own mother tormented him using witchery. Amo Takyi did not give in, he was steadfast in the Lord and remained resilient in all afflictions and finally having a sigh of relief in success. 'Amo Takyi' is a tragic-comedy. Amo Takyi, the protagonist, suffered at the hands of people including his own friends, family members as well as unfamiliar people. Some tried him by physical means, others, by spiritual means. Despite all the troubles, he was steadfast and all his misery turned to be happiness. The story is very didactic, informative, educative and full of vocabulary.
