A collection of sonnets. From lines about love to verses about muses and other subjects, these sonnets were penned as practice - as well as a means of expression and contemplation. Written by a prose writer who had just begun her journey as a poet. 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗥𝗘 𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: #17 in #poetry 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗮𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 #𝟭 in #poems #𝟭 in #poetrycollection

TRIGGER WARNING Violent language, implicit messages about self-harm. My second sonnet, and my first in an Italian/Petrarchan form.

This is a Petrarchan sonnet, which is my favorite form of poetry. It is about how important music is to me and my life. Music is involved in everything that I do, be it playing, singing, or listening. I create. I listen. I appreciate. I cannot go a single day without spending at least an hour at the piano or listening to at least half of my 23-hour, 402-song Spotify playlist (and singing along as well). Music is literally my entire life, and I would not have it any other way.

Shakespeare inspired poem about a codependent relationship that eats you out from the inside and makes you suffer while they prosper. ( Still working on the second stanza of the Petrarchan sonnet but the octet is finished let me know what you think)
