When a rare week off arrives in 2023, they escape into the woods. It should have been quiet. It should have been simple. But the silence feels staged. Their laughter doesn't sound like their own. And something out there is learning how to be them.

A short horror story that probably won't scare you, but hey, I tried. I'm a fan of the horror genre and have always wanted to write my own creepypasta (you never know, it might find it's way onto a worst creepypastas ever written list). Nothing in this book is inherently disturbing or will scar you for life, so no blood, gore, particularly dark themes, just a terrible attempt at a phycological horror.

How to know the difference between what is right and what is wrong?... TW: Gaslighting, Abuse, Murder, Cannibalism, Gore, Dark Romanticism. Elie grew up doing things that never exactly felt right. If they look like you and even talk like you... Why aren't they equal to you? This is a work of fiction (obviously) please notice that some may be made very uncomfortable with its content. It also maybe have political or religious subjects (not sure yet) so please keep that in mind. Read at your own risk.
