The story is a one-shot set during 'The Sign of Three' ( Warning: contains some post- reichenbach feels ) Sherlock is feeling lonelier and lonelier as the wedding of John and Mary comes nearer. This story is his internal monologue or his though process as he composes the waltz.

It has been six years since the Reichenbach fall, and Sherlock Holmes is alone. John Watson has moved on, forging a family for himself out of the ruins of the loss of his best friend. But when Sherlock's path crosses that of Mary Watson, they both have to fight to ensure John's well-being.

This fanfic about Johnlock, set 18 months post Reichenbach. It stops being canon sometime in the build up to Sherlock jumping. First person of John and Sherlock (at different times;)). Basically John doesn't get over Sherlock's fall and theres no Mary to sort him out. So this is my first ever fanfic and no it isn't very good but I did enjoy writing it. I hope you like it and please do leave comments/criticisms and whatever:) I'll tell you now the voice of sherlock isn't very good- I'm no writer and he's a pretty tough character to suss so sorry about that. When he gets wind of a masquerade ball being held in Moriarty's memory, he thinks it'll be no different than what he has been doing after his infamous fall. But a one-man operation was just suicide.
