When Alvia gets a letter from the Metropolitan Library for an Interview, they automatically find a way to get there. When they do get to the address, they show the letter but there's one problem. The Library didn't send for a Guardian or a Librarian. It sent for an undetermined title.

With potential librarians dropping left and right, the Librarian, Flynn Carsen, and his new guardian, Eve Baird, set out to save them. They manage to save four. Jacob Stone, the oil rig worker and secret art, architexture, and history expert. Cassandra Cillian, the janitor and a mathematic super genius. Ezekial Jones, the world's greatest thief.
