In the dark of the frigid night, the star in the east shines bright. At the behest of a mysterious client, a mercenary team infiltrates the Hermitage Museum to steal a 15th-century painting. What they find instead will not only shine a light on their destiny but bring hope to the future of humanity. "I enjoyed the shorter chapters and the information being easily presented up front! Your writing style makes it very easy to follow what's happening without slowing scenes down too much." -Aspecialhooman "The writing style and the plot, both are excellent. The story is captivating and keeps readers' attention throughout...the blurb is one of the blest blurbs." -Sofia7Elliott "The plot was good and the story was exciting. It was definitely unlike anything else that I ever read of Wattpad." -Violetta712 Awards: 1st place winner of the Time Turner Awards 2021, Science Fiction category. 2nd place winner of the Books and Beyond Awards 2021, Science Fiction category. 2nd place winner of the Botticelli Awards 2021, Action/Adventure category. 3rd place winner of the Seasonal Awards 2021, General Fiction category. 3rd place winner of the Big Dipper Awards 2021, Action/Adventure category. 3rd place winner of the Star Awards 2021, Action/Adventure category. Forgeries, heists, sneaking into museums with the Leopard ... Is Neal out of control or simply living the life of his dreams? July 2007. Travel: Cyprus, Czechia, Russia. Part of the Caffrey Conversation series. Follows the events in Scotch on the Rocks. My White Collar stories are set in the Caffrey Conversation universe created by Penna Nomen. In that world, Neal Caffrey--an expert forger, thief, and con artist--is recruited by Special Agent Peter Burke to work for him at the FBI. Neal begins his new life in December 2003 when he is twenty-three years old. Unlike the TV series, Neal was never convicted of a crime and didn't serve time in prison. Penna Nomen is the creator and chief muse of the series. She is also my writing partner. The complete list of Caffrey Conversation stories is on our blog, Penna Nomen & Silbrith Conversation. Our stories are also posted on Archive of Our Own and FanFiction. This story is for fun. I don't own the rights to the White Collar TV series.
