Saleem Beebeejaun is currently the Chairman of the Warwyck Private Bank, the first and only private bank operating in Mauritius. Saleem has recently been invited by the Financial Services Commission to chair the Task Force on Private Wealth Management in Mauritius. Since 2017, Saleem is the Chief Strategy Officer of TWZ Law, a South African law firm based in Mauritius. In his career Saleem has served as board member of over 50 companies in Mauritius and overseas including Kenya, Malta and Zimbabwe. He is currently a board member of Rio Zim Ltd. Up to recently Saleem was also a board member of PRIF Mauritius Managers Limited and MAREF. Over his career, Saleem has led the Introduction of companies on the Stock exchange of Mauritius, the establishment of an open-ended collective Investment Scheme. He was also very active in the Mergers and Acquisitions space and led amongst others, the acquisition of the South East Asian Bank, a Mauritius branch of the Malaysian CIMB Bank.

Saleem's maternal great grandfather G M D Atchia was the Lord Mayor of Port Louis and was a member of the Mauritius delegation that took part in the negotiations for the independence of Mauritius with the colonial power, Great Britain. Saleem's father Dr Ahmed Rashid Beebeejaun is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London and recipient of an honorary doctorate from the University of Birmingham his alma mater. He has been a consultant Pediatrician in the Ministry of Health for the best part of twenty five years from 1970 and during his first five years was the sole pediatrician in service providing Care Island wide, during which time infant and childhood mortality dropped significantly He officially joined politics in 1995 and was an elected member of parliament till 2014 when he chose to retire from active politics. Dr Rashid occupied various ministerial posts and between 2005 and 2014 served as the Deputy Prime Minister. Dr Rashid Beebeejaun is the recipient of the highest distinction that Mauritius can confer namely the Grand Commander of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (GCSK).
