Adopted at age eight, she remembers very well what happened to her parents. But when she turns 18, she moves to Texas from California for college. That's where she's introduced to parties, frat boys, and love. Oh, and Jake Simpson. The leading frat boy in the biggest frat house.

"Thoughts. She leaves me alone with them. Questions. Will she forgive me? Is what I did, nearly leaving her, convincing her I loved another, unforgivable? Does she still love me after the harsh ways I've been towards her? Everything I did, I thought I was protecting her. But I wasn't. I was hurting her in a way worse than the danger I'd be putting her in if I had continued to be with her."

I didn't just lose someone who I loved I also lost my best friend. In this world, some friends will stick by your side and follow through life with you. I believe that every person who comes into my life is a gift and a blessing, I believe you should hold them close. I wish the world could be filled with love and not hatred. Sometimes people forget that no one is truly above anyone else in this world, we are all going to die. No one will live forever. Sadly we will all be forgotten eventually and in the end what good did all this get you. You cut off the people who have been there for you despite the circumstances, they love you. Why? Some stupid high school rumor? Because some of your friends don't like me? I gave you all my love and trust and you broke it all for what? Do you know what that does to a person? Those who have stuck with me in, I am grateful for every single one of you. For those who have abandoned me, I forgive you.
