Tengen is an asshole and decides to play an early Halloween prank on Sanemi at Giyuus expense so Sanemi takes pity on the dark haired man, one thing leads to another and they get a little closer than expected.

"I don't know. I just...I just miss my mom." Sanemi is acting weird, and Giyuu is decided to find out what's going on. Or, Giyuu wants to be there for Sanemi just as how he was there for him when he struggled with his past. With some help and failures in the process, they still manage to be honest with each other, leaving a heavy burden behind.

"But we're ..." Giyuu argues further but again Shinobu interrupts "not even a mated pair! Am I right?" Giyuu is having a bad day and not only is his alpha not around, he's not even sure if Sanemi even cares or wants to be with him and to top it off, he's about to go into heat.
