Kyo, a meister, and her weapon Roxas, a Bolster sword (look it up, kinda looks like Soul Edge) are students at eh DWMA, the Death Weapon-Meister Academy. The creator of the school, Lord Death, also called Shinigami-sama by his students has sensed a great evil coming, a long since forgotten kishin waiting for that spiders threat he needs to escape. This evil soul must be stopped, for his power puts all the other kishins to shame. Medusa wants to release this evil soul, and needs Kyo's hatred to do so; and she will stop at nothing to get her.
