After the major Imperial defeat on Jakku a portion of the military has suddenly fled mysteriously unknown to the galaxy of it's location. This fleet was lead by Grand Moff Randd a great Imperial officer with a reputation of strength and dignity for his men the fleet lead by this mysterious Moff has come to be known as the Queluhan Nebula Imperial Remnant a portion of the Imperial Navy that has fled within the Queluhan Nebula undetectable from New Republic scanners due to its ionized gases.

Spoilers for Claudia Gray's "Lost Stars". This takes place some time after the book. Ciena Ree hadn't expected to make it out of the war. She hadn't wanted to, because surviving meant breaking the oath she had made to the Empire. Her believes had forced her to stay true to an organization she hated in the end... but now that she was alive and being released from prison for social work, she had to make it work. And as long as Thane was around, she just might be able to live with everything that had happened.
