You were a normal girl/boy living in Texas until you moved to another city. You weren't aware of a small door you found in your new room. One day you went through the door and you....

"Dreams feel real while we're in them. It's only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange." Amy Green is a small town girl, starting her freshman year all alone in a big prestigious high school. Then suddenly, when the humble town of Hazelbrookes has a population surge with hundreds of rich, beautiful people moving into her life, all that changes. Something is off about the new kids in town, and it's not just their inhuman attractiveness. At first, it's subtle little things that cue Amy in, like how they never eat anything, or how they all have overwhelming amounts of charisma that tend to allure even the strongest willed people to them. Nothing too big. But after the boy Amy crushes on (or rather, feels the biggest pull to) bites her in the nurse's office at school, she realizes that everything is way bigger than she had originally expected.
