The story is basically one where a man is on a mission to find someone who is lost, and the turn of events which lead to more than anyone would have bargained for.

In the shiny streets of Tornic, it's not an uncommon occurrence for those who stick their noses in the wrong place or ask the wrong questions to disappear. It's also not an uncommon occurrence for their loved ones to at least want to have some closure about what happened and that's where Close usually ends up in the picture. That's what his newest case looks like, pretty standard except for how weird the client is. He doesn't know that this case will be his last either. (This story was made for an assignment in a class and part of the assignment was making a storyboard so all of the images used[including the current and placeholder image for the cover until I draw or make something] were made for the storyboard. The drawings are mine but the random stock images on, around, or behind them are not).

MOST of the important details are in the prologue, and this is my first story. so... The world is like a riddle with no incorrect answer. Actually... scratch that, the world doesn't have an ANSWER. There's a bunch of ups and downs, lefts and rights. The only advice they'll give you is to believe in your heart and in time, you'll be fine.... But what happens when you don't know how to use your heart (correctly), you don't know what to believe, time is starting to run out and to put the icing on the depressing cake, you're a dumbass teenager? Step into the shoes of Kuki Elberry and experience first hand as she's comfronted with heavy internal choices and fights to protect her mind from eroding away. Ps. Half the population of children in the world was wiped out by the mysterious illness that followed the wave of Dark Energy. Those that surprised developed powers. Powers that made them dangerous. Everyone received only one power. Until Cassie. Being hunted by the government and the Doctor, Gabe and Cassie can only trust each other. Or can they?

Polar opposites. One is your typical brain. A nerd, if you'd like. The other is your average popular charismatic guy. Saying they live different lives is an understatement, but they both get up at 5 am each day. Why? To do different things. But if they're also both escaping their lives, how different are they really? Hi there! I'm 13 and this is my first time writing so please be nice! If you have any tips that would be super helpful :) This book switches perspectives between 2 characters and is based in nyc. It takes place during high school and is a fast paced romance.
