"Ratchet! Elani!" Talwyn screamed for them as Ratchet looked to her before his fingers lost their grip. The dark hole swallowed them both before it faded, the helmet fell to the floor in pieces. Talwyn sprinted to it and yanked on the chain. "Dimensionator, find Ratchet!" Nothing. She desperately tried again with tears in her eyes, yielding no results. They were gone. Ratchet and Clank is owned by Insomniac games, I take no ownership of its creation.

As I walked down the hallway, I felt a sense of dread fill me for an unknown reason. I stopped. Silence. He's never anywhere near silent. Carefully, I slipped through the hall, as quietly as I could, and peeked around the doorframe to the tech lab- or more commonly known as the broom closet- to see Dr. Nefarious working on something. I couldn't quite tell what it is, but somehow I knew it was bad. A warm touch on my shoulder made me glance to my right. Nothing. No Cora, no Brax, no Qwark, just no one. Yet the soothing touch remained and I felt myself relax slightly I returned my to gaze to Nefarious, but he wasn't there anymore. Startled, I look around to find him standing behind me. He was different too with his glasses spiked and the lenses shaded red. I screamed. With a gasp I sit up in a cold sweat. Breathing hard, I look around my room, seeing the Markazian sitting next to me. "Ratchet, what's going on?" Talwyn asks. "And how did this happen?" She points to a big scar on the left side of my chest that continued onto my shoulder that she hadn't seen before. With hell as their lives, C1 and C2 have had to build a form of hierarchy in Containment Field One for order. No one knows why they're captives, yet at this point, they don't care. A decoy robot is created by Chairmen Drek, seeing his plan a robot named Clank goes to find Captain Qwark but crashes on Veldin. The duo must team up in order to stop Drek but one things for certain: Ratchet can't let Clank know about a secret that's he's been keeping.

When everything you thought you know starts to fall apart, how could you hold yourself up? In Age of Charlatans, Ratchet and Clank have to take down a group of junker bots. But this easy mission turns into an adventure with ins and outs that they never would have expected.
