I shook my head, trying to clear it of those thoughts. "I know, I know. But I still hate it." He pulled me in tighter, his arms a barrier around me, protecting me from the outside world. "Me too," I really do hate it. It;s awful, having to be with the one you love in secrecy. He pulled back a little to look at me, and I saw a smile creep back onto his face. "So, you think I'm smart, huh?" I mock-glared at him and he put one hand to him chest in moke-pain. "Yeah, a smart-alec!" "That hurts, Leigh, that really hurts!" He exclaimed with fake hurt in his voice. I started laughing and so did he. I made my eyes go all big and tilted my head to the side a bit, "But you still love me, right?" He pulled me in even tighter than before and missed my head, murmuring, "Of course I do L, I always will." He put one gentle finger under my chin and tilted my head up. He leaned down and planted a warm, soft kiss on my lips. "I'll always love you, Leigh." he mumbled against my lips. "No matter what happens."
