Merlin may not appear to like his job but he secretly does because he can spend more time with Arthur. I advise you do that first so you can understand this. (Spoilers for the series will be in this and in the next paragraph in this extra info block) Characters are pretty much the same as in the series. However, Uther isn't dead yet. Nor is Arthur.
