So here's my story. I hope I get at least somewhere in the contest. :) I never finished it but heyyyyy it has a cliffhanger.

My story is based on a young girl by the name of Ruby. In the story she is portrayed as a young girl that's never been in love. Her parents have basicallu convinced her to believe that happiness comes from having an education in life and nothing more. She was raised to believe that love was simply a silly illusion and that it could solve nothing in life, but that all soon changed the day Seth walked into Ruby's life. In my story it show how true love feels like. Hope you all enjoy it!

I looked at Kyle in disbelief "Why are you still here?" I blurted out, my curiosity getting the best of me. I looked down, "I'm nothing special." I whispered. He chuckled that deep throated laugh that had butterflies erupting in my stomach. He tilted my head up, his wonderful green orbs meeting my shy brown ones. "Sweetheart, you don't know how special you are." (NOT IN BOOK) -------------------------------------- Ava- the nerd, the wallflower. She's the one that you don't see observing from a distance. The one that would rather listen than be heard, trust me when I say she has a lot to say. Kyle - the new guy, the man on campus. He's the one that people immediately label as a jock not a math genius who would rather read a good book than go to a pep rally. Well- at least according to The Rules. But that's the thing about rules- there meant to be broken. So watch as Kyle teaches Ava a lesson, that being noticed isn't that bad. And that being loved can change your whole world.

A prince charming, a damsel in distress, talking animals for best friends and living happily ever after...none of that in this story. This is not a fairy tale. Although it was a story that happened to me once upon a time. Before Jim came into my life "again" I never felt incomplete and didn’t have an urge of looking for a "mate". I was 22 but I was not panicking. I have a degree, stable job, loving family and friends. I’m happy and contented with life. Or so I thought.

Just your typical girl-meets-seal-trainer story, this is the true tale of how I met the love of my life, my first love, ten years ago. The time line is a little condensed - originally it was written for a competition and I had to fit it all into 1500 words Thanks so much for reading!
