Alex has no idea it was her. It was her who saved him. The girl he fell in love with. They had no idea they noticed each other. -------- "Why do you insist on being ordinary?" She asked after a few minutes of silence. "Because I fit in. I don't stand out like you do. I'm so completely average it's sickening. No one see's me when I walk by, and if they do, they don't look twice. People are curious about you. When you walk into a room, you render everyone speechless. You have their attention from the moment they see you until the moment they can't." She was silent. She just sat there and stared at me with a hard, unreadable expression. "You render me speechless." I sucked in a breath, my cheeks burning.

Your first love isn't your knight in shining armor. Nor is he Prince Charming. Usually he walks into your life when you least expect it. He makes your life better in a way. He gives you the whirlwind romance you always hope for, but then he will leave. And when he leaves, you don't get your feelings back. Your feelings become his and that ring becomes yours. You make it harder to walk away.

Emily Trends was in the darkest part of her life and didn't know which path to take when unexpectedly, she had to leave and move to another city with her family and there she meets a younger boy who gives back her self-confidence and self-worth. An entry I wrote for The Best of Me Movie Contest.

My story is based on a young girl by the name of Ruby. In the story she is portrayed as a young girl that's never been in love. Her parents have basicallu convinced her to believe that happiness comes from having an education in life and nothing more. She was raised to believe that love was simply a silly illusion and that it could solve nothing in life, but that all soon changed the day Seth walked into Ruby's life.
