FINISHED!! This is written as an after story to The Last Guardian, (there will be spoilers.) Artemis is now 15 (In my story timeline) and he has gotten Atlantis Complex again. This time, though, there might not be a way out. *Spoilers* Please note that this story is supposed to be dramatic and emotional, so don't give me flack for the sappy stuff. As much as I love ships, this will not be an Artemis+Holly shipping story. Sorry! There will be bffing, though. Please check this out, I worked really hard. I read every chapter multiple times to catch misspellings. This is my first fanfic, and is rated K+, but I wouldn't recommend reading if you are under the age of like 8. -StormOfLightning

In a realm where ancient Guardians once kept magic in balance, only one remains-and he doesn't know it yet. (this has been temporarily discontinued, I am working on something bigger) these events take place 20 Years after the events of "The Last Guardian". A girl from the village going by the name of "Fae" is met with horrible consequences as she is underestimated and disliked by the rest of the kids. Her parents run a farm just in the outskirts of the village and she rarely sees anybody due to her chores at the barn. One day during her nightly check up on the animals in the barn, she hears an odd cry from the distance, upon finding the source of the sound, she finds a small odd creature limping in a bush and squealing for help. She brings it with her and will soon be met with many problems.

Trico's aren't born with their cry stains and not all trico's have them, the cry stains only show up if they are experiencing extreme pain and suffering. Year's before the Master of the Valley controlled the Nest many trico's lived there, none had cry stains. But time passed and the once cursed land grew over and Dormin grew too, now they were nothing but a AI that needed to be protected, Dormin found a way to control the whole trico species by using helmets that would connect to their horns and signals that would agitate them and tell them to go places against their will. Female trico's would be used to steal children, the children were so called 'chosen ones', the way that the she trico's would find those kids would be by reflecting the color of the child's soul, if the color was a red color it was the right child. The she trico would swallow the child and bring it back to the Valley and feed them to the Master but the trico's didn't know they were doing this their natural instinct to regurgitate food to their young was being taken advantage of and they were being controlled to do this, they were unhappy but for each time they did this right they were given the only food source they were used to barrels of light. Male trico's were controlled differently, they were never aloud to see out the Valley since their wings would be clipped when young, used for nothing but battle which rarely even happens they're stuck in a prison for most of their life and most of their wounds from battles would never be cured leading to them having diseases and dying, most male trico's don't make it passed two years of age because of the lack of nutrition and room to grow they get. there is a myth that once a trico gains it's cry marks they don't come off, but witness the story of a trico named Demon loose his cry marks and get over his injuries with his mate named Angle. NOT RECOMMEND FOR ALL AGES Some scenes focus on death, animal violence and cruelty, viewer discretion is advised

You, as a child, if you aren't already, live in the village you may all know about. The village in The Last Guardian. You always hear tales about this giant creature who takes children at night. It was a little spooky story that the mothers would tell to their older children to not scare the little ones. Your mother told you this tale of when a boy was taken from the giant creature. These tales didn't scare you, but intrigued you.

[artemis and holly au!] The Fowl family has a lot of control over Dublin, and Ireland in general but not for the reason many think. Yes, Artemis Fowl Senior is greatly intelligent and his eldest son is smarter, but they only rose to power due to how long they have resided there. Over centuries, the Fowl family has lived there, slowly attaining power and tight grip onto the country to get what they want in the end. No, it's not gold or money, it's not even the cliché "rule-the-world" power. They wanted it so they could acquire blood, human blood to be exact. The Fowl family was vampires, ancient, pureblooded vampires-- actually the last of their kind-- and they need much more blood than normal vampires. Taking control over the country was rather easy, due to Artemis Senior's natural, criminal mind. But they only truly succeeded because of Artemis Fowl the II. Now, though, Artemis Fowl is in his Fledging stage, where his thirst is increased extremely high as his body is developing. It is rather important he gets enough blood, or his body may not develop like it is supposed to. This isn't a difficult task with his butler, Dom, helping get a new HC-- or better know as "Human Cattle"-- every few days or so. Everything is well and fine with this process, until on day a certain girl shows him a side he never sees from humans. Her aggressiveness and lack of fear to talk back to him is the reason he is curious in the first place, but all of her emotions and how she acts is the growing reason. Soon enough, this curiousness grows into a hungry desire to know more about this girl. Artemis doesn't hesitate to try to know everything he can about her, as a way to quench this desire. But little does Artemis know that this leads to a train reaction of strange emotions that the young vampire has not experienced yet before in his lifetime...

Trico heads home after the brutality of returning the child. But now, she's alone and wounded, in the place she is forced to call home. But perhaps her home isn't as empty as she once thought it was. Not everything is gone, and with a little bit of effort, The Valley can maintain it's beauty that it once held so long ago.

Trico and the Boy spend some time in a forest, and the Boy realizes that their bonding brings them closer than he had initially thought.
