Tay Tawan was not expecting to end up right back at work when he died. He was a happy-go-lucky kind of guy; he had no real troubles or regrets that he considered important enough to stop him from walking straight past 'Go' and collecting an eternal afterlife of sunflowers and good seafood. Sure, it happened a little earlier than he would have liked, but where was the use in getting hung up on that? So what was it? What sent him shuffling back into that dingy space with its desks and papers and coworkers and friends and New Thitipoom? This was going to be one hell of a useless, boring, ordinary haunting. ~~~~ *Please note: this story has been published in non-linear order. Chapters are numbered in correct order. ~Sequel to The Ordinary Haunting~ Tay Tawan was not expecting to get tied to New Thitipoom when he died. He used to be a happy-go-lucky kind of guy; the kind with no real troubles or regrets that he considered important enough to stop him from his eternal afterlife of sunflowers and guitar ballads and hypothetical match-ups between wild animals that would otherwise usually never encounter each other. So what was it? What kept him watching the sun rise and set each day with a yearning in his chest that was no longer about moving on? What made him want to feel his feet firmly on the ground, his heart stutter out a beat, his hands warmly in another's? What would it take to allow him to stay? This was going to be one hell of a difficult, painful, extraordinary haunting. ~~~~ *Please note: this story will be published once a week, in mostly non-linear order. [yukyung] AN "HYMN OF DEATH" INSPIRED STORY 뜨겁기도 하다 이 가슴은 The feels: This book is a k-drama inspired based on a tragic love story. An idealistic poet is convinced he needs to do his part in keeping Joseon's moral after the grim fate they face under the japanese government and puts together a crew to go on tour through Korea. He falls for one of the members of his crew: the first korean opera singer played by Shin Hye Sun. If you enjoy romance that's pretty innocent but has a lot of emotional feels, you'll love the meloness nature of this book. It does deal with issues that some might be uncomfortable with ( suicide, infidelity) as a trigger heads up.
