Kion met Vitani once when she saved him from drowning. He fell in love with her because of her beautiful appearance and her different personality. Vitani also fell in love with the golden leader but never told her family, Zira, Kovu, and Nuka. What if they found out about Vitani's feelings for the golden prince and captured her? All the Pridelanders knew Safi. You couldn't miss her with her extra bangs of hair and distinctive blue eyes, or that she was almost always in the company of King Simba himself or Prince Kion, and sometimes both. Everyone reasoned that, with King Simba and Prince Kion watching over her, Safi would grow up to be a very happy, cheerful, well ~ groomed cub. But they also knew she had a past: a past she never talked about, and, when people did ask her, she flinched, or dodged the questions she was posed. As if she didn't want to talk about it. It was also generally known Safi's "family" in Pride Rock was not her own, but, rather, one she had herself chosen. Only Safi knew her full story, and she was playing things very close to the chest, despite concerned voices often following her wherever she went. She would not tell anyone her secret. At least until the day came when Safi's past was standing in front of her and talking to her.
