After the particle accelerator exploded and she became the Phoenix, she finally had a way to learn the truth. But once she did, her entire world came crashing down. Zoe learned that she was the one who started the fire and accidentally killed her parents, she also found out that the man responsible for ruining her life was someone she trusted, someone she knew. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne was the Reverse-Flash and to make matters worse, he killed Zach, Zoe's foster father, right in front of her. In an attempt to travel back in time to save their families, only to be stopped by their future selves, Zoe and Barry unleashed a Singularity that almost swallowed the city. After closing it, Zoe decides to distance herself from her friends to protect them while trying to deal with the grief of losing Zach. Now, six months later, Zoe has to reunite with Team Phlash when metas from another world arrive in Central City. Some are allies, others want nothing more than to kill the Flash and Phoenix. But after everything, can Zoe bring herself to trust again? Or allow herself to be happy so she can truly open her heart to Barry?

Four years ago, Zoe Sparks was affected by the dark matter wave released by the particle accelerator explosion and became the Phoenix. Fighting to protect the city from metahuman threats, she has faced and overcome several trials in her life. Losing her parents in a house fire, being manipulated by Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash into hurting the people she loves, facing off against Zoom and Hellfire - an evil speedster and flare from another earth - and dealing with the aftermath of Flashpoint. After defeating Savitar, an evil time remnant of Barry who tried to kill her, Zoe's life changed forever when the unstable nature of the Speed Force threatened to destroy the city and Barry chose to sacrifice himself to save everyone. Now, she is the sole leader of Team Phlash, and with the help of Wally West/Kid Flash, Cisco Ramon/Vibe, Iris West, Detective Joe West, and her adoptive father, Zach Abrams, she continues to keep Central City safe and encounters a new foe who threatens to level the city unless the Flash returns. But breaking Barry out of the Speed Force causes a chain reaction, resulting in the creation of 'bus metas' who become essential in a diabolical plot orchestrated by the Thinker.

Fighting alongside her boyfriend, Barry Allen/The Flash and their team at S.T.A.R. Labs, she protects the city from metahuman threats. After defeating Zoom and Hellfire, losing Henry Allen and Amber Hale, meeting the Flash from Earth-3, and saying goodbye to Jesse and Harry Wells, Team Phlash must face a new threat, Savitar, the God of Speed. Zoe also learns that Barry created an alternate timeline called Flashpoint, where he saved his mother from being killed by the Reverse-Flash and as a result, also saved her parents from dying in the fire her future self accidentally caused. Realizing how dangerous the ramifications of his decision was, Barry reset the timeline and returned to find that not only had he changed his own life, but also Zoe's and their friends.
