Being the daughter of Sirius Black is dangerous, so dangerous that Nova had to change her last name and contact with her family just so she could avoid any risk she may be in. Alongside this, she also has a life, one where she will make friends, enemies and even find love.
Her first couple of years at Hogwarts go according to plan, but come third year, everything starts to fall apart. It seems like her world is whole again yet it still feels broken.
If only she didn't have to be stuck in the same dorm as Draco Malfoy.

"Why won't you let anyone In?" He asked softly.
"Isn't it obvious." She replied quietly with evidence of sadness in her voice.
He stayed quiet, knowing not to push her for answers.
"People say they love you, that they'll be there for you, but they don't. They leave. They leave me. Just like Dad did, just like Mama did." Her voice trailed off as tears formed in her eyes.
He pulled her towards his chest and slowly stroked her back and calmed her down with a hushed voice.
"Nova I can't do anything to bring them back. And I can't change what's happened to you in the past. But I can tell you this."
He lifted up her chin so her glassy eyes were looking into his.
"I'll be there."
