Max Panaquer is an immigrant living a quiet life in Los Angeles with his girlfriend Amber. He is also the son of the last South American dictator, Jose Panaquer. When Max gets words of his father's impending death, Max must make a choice of whether to go back to Margovia and talk to his father one more time. Margovia is a melting pot of ideologies. The people are crying out for democracy after years under a Cold War-era dictator. But the Panaquers are not quick to relinquish the power they've accumulated through the years. Max fled Margovia because he didn't want to become his father's successor to the presidency, but now he may have no choice but to take the reins of power himself. All the while, he has to figure out who his allies and enemies are. As Max struggles to find his place in a rapidly changing world of politics and chaos, it may very well be up to him if being the good son means following your father's wishes or throwing them away for your own.
