Blaine Sativa grows up in a family of hysteria. Her mother, a bitter woman who raised her in the remote woods of Colorado, dies shortly after Blaine's older brother Clarke is institutionalized. That fateful day after losing her family, Blaine lives on her own working odd jobs to make ends meet for rent and overdue bill notices.

Two months after moving in at a run-down trailer home complex Blaine meets her neighbor, Travis Sterne, after he hides from the police in her home. Their romance is the closet she's gotten to having a real family.

When a strange and unexpected illness affects Blaine with early onset Alzheimer's it reveals a whole new puzzle to her relationship with Travis. Perhaps she's been hypnotized this whole time -- to the point losing her memory might make her realize the truth. That he was lying to her the whole time and remembering might be the only way she stays alive.
