Medusa was not always a monster. Cursed by the gods and fate to a life burdened with suffering. Her gorgon powers gifted to her by Athena so that men would no longer be able to gaze upon her with lustful eyes. But tragedy is everywhere. Athena was approached by her father with the task of aiding her mortal half-brother Perseus in slaying Medusa.

With no other choice she reaches out to a being that even gods are afraid of.

They called her a monster. They never saw her break. After centuries of silence, Medusa lives alone in a forest of stone-haunted by gods, hunted by men, and burdened by a curse that turns love into ash. Her name, once sacred, is now a warning whispered in fear. But everything begins to change the day a blind witch named Nyxara steps into her world. Nyxara has survived exile, rejection, and a magic that heals as easily as it kills. She was cast out for being too dangerous, too different, too queer-and yet, the goddess Selene gave her a name, a purpose, and a vision: Find the Gorgon. Teach her she is not broken. As Medusa and Nyxara grow closer, so do the eyes of the gods. Selene watches with quiet pride. Athena watches with unraveling fury. And Medusa must decide if she can rewrite her story-not as a monster, but as a woman who survived the divine and still dared to love. A story of myth reclaimed, trauma unbound, and love powerful enough to turn stone into flesh again. DISCLAIMER: the story of Medusa that we all know and love is not from Greek mythology. This book is not inspired by Greek mythology. It is inspired by the poet Ovid that made a book named metamorphosis in the Roman mythology which told the tale of Medusa where she was born a human died of Gorgon please do not confuse the two. In the Greek mythology Medusa was born in Gorgon died of Gorgon she was part of the three sisters born to a sea deity she had no background nothing she was only known for having snakes for hair. In Roman mythology the poet Ovid dove in into her story with his own imagination which is a big part of the reason why she is always shown as a monster and not a survivor please remember that. In the ancient, mythical city of Aethria, where legends and gods once walked among mortals, a unique and captivating love story unfolds. "Echoes of the Gaze" weaves a tale of two individuals who defy destiny's cruel twists, embracing the beauty within their imperfections. Medusa, the infamous Gorgon with snakes for hair, lives a secluded life in the ruins of a forgotten temple on the outskirts of Aethria. Cursed by Athena for her breathtaking beauty and the consequences of a tragic betrayal, she now bears the burden of turning anyone who gazes into her eyes into stone. Her heart aches for connection, but her curse keeps her isolated, yearning for a love she believes is unattainable. In the heart of Aethria resides Alexios, a gentle and talented musician who lost his sight in a childhood accident. Despite his blindness, he has learned to navigate the world with grace and courage, using his heightened senses of touch, sound, and intuition. His music is renowned throughout the city, captivating all who hear it. One fateful day, while wandering the ruins in search of inspiration for a new composition, Alexios stumbles upon Medusa's forgotten temple. Unbeknownst to him, he gazes in her direction, but his blindness saves him from her curse. Intrigued by the presence of another person in her desolate world, Medusa remains hidden, observing him from the shadows. As Alexios explores the temple, he discovers a beautifully sculpted statue, seemingly carved from the finest marble. He is inexplicably drawn to this life-like figure and begins to play a haunting melody on his lyre. The enchanting notes fill the temple, and Medusa, hidden behind a pillar, is captivated by the music... A.N - second book of Divine Desires :)
Blind Evocation (Male!Medusa x Blind!Male!Reader) by A-Lusk
13 parts Complete Mature
Y/n L/n had always aspired to be like one of the heroes that legends were written about. Unfortunately, no matter how much one desires something, they can't always achieve their wish. So no matter how many times Y/n tries to learn how to fight with a sword, tries to detect his enemies, or works on complicated footwork, he will never be a warrior. For he is blind. Rendered sightless from birth, and he is incapable of being a warrior at any capacity. So, it's a cruel, twisted joke when a Trickster God comes to Y/n in his dreams and tells the boy he's chosen for a divine quest. That quest, you ask? To hunt down and kill one of the most ruthless monsters that terrorizes the coastal town of Aegium. Medusa. However, there is an astounding amount of lack-of-foresight and planning - from everyone, all around (even the author). And just maybe, Y/n can be the hero he's always wanted to be. In an entirely different way, of course. _____ Preview: Not many Greek warriors entered the Gorgon's cave in such a bold, abrasive manner anymore. They especially did not wave their swords in the air wildly about their person and declare: "Why do you think I am here? I've been sent on a godly quest to defeat a tentacle monster!" "Pardon?" the Gorgon asked, surprised into speech by the (h/c) man's words. "Or maybe some kind of serpent. The gods weren't very clear on that part now that I think about it," the strange man continued, his back still turned to Medusa. ...It had been a long while since Medusa has felt this out of his depth. (Just wait until he learns that this man doesn't turn to stone). _____ Ft. Gay Medusa.
