Deep in the Hasetsu Woods, there lurks a story. A story of pain and heartbreak. A beastly myth that nobody dares to challenge. The once majestic woods that housed a children's playground and shimmering golden fields are now shrouded in vines and rusted metal gates. These woods emanate a deep fog of loneliness that many overlook, distracted by their fear of the creatures unknown. Now, this hill by the sea was forgotten by all but a few, their once beloved Hasetsu Castle turned a symbol terror.

Looking for a break, Victor Nikiforov finds himself in the quaint town of New Hasetsu, an escape from the blinding lights and overwhelming clicks from cameras. He's immediately drawn to the mysterious fear-inducing demeanor of the buildings and stories that come out of them.

But there's something else. Something else that keeps him there.

Something...cold.
