In this, the third instalment to the Katie Bug stories, the poor town of Brambrook is experiencing a sudden rush of missing students that seem to keep popping up dead. Katie's dad is concerned he's going to have to clean up another Katie mess. Katie's roommate and friends think she's suffering from clinical depression. Her professors think she's lazy and are flunking her out. The only people in the world who seem to be on Katie's side is her new boyfriend and his weirdo best friend.
