This is a story of love between two minorities who struggle with loss, oppression, hate, and prejudice that they live through during the ruthless period of 1830s North America. As a American Indian man and biracial woman, together this couple must face several hardships and tragedies, one including the Trail of Tears, that both strengthen their relationship and weaken it. Both transition into a new world that is far different then what they were accustomed to. Happiness and hope is all they must hold onto in order to overcome. Although this story is primarily fictional, much of the history I researched had been retrieved from true sources including from Native American's I actually know. This story describes the unpleasant life in which Native American's and Black people had to face during 1830s U.S.A. Please know that my intent is not to offend or upset those of either culture but reveal the hardships that Native Indians, specifically the Creeks, and Blacks had to endure. Americans tend to forget the pain that was inflicted on so many people both Native Indian and Black. I would love some feedback from actual Native American readers. It will help me when editing then novel. Mature Content: Sex, violence, murder, profanity. Enjoy.
