The Crumbs have three things in common: they're orphans, they're criminals, and they hate wearing shoes. The Crumbs don't consider themselves to be criminals because music should not be a crime. Their radio station is only illegal because the BBC won't play what the people want, after all. But for the four teenagers living on a rickety boat off of London's shore in 1967, music is more than just what comes out of the speakers. It's the very air they breathe and the rhythm their hearts beat to. But when a new youth-operated radio moves into the city and immediately threatens The Crumbs' business, it means war. The Crumbs must pull together and do whatever it takes to save their radio station or risk losing everything they've ever worked for. But what exactly are they willing to sacrifice in order to keep their boat from sinking?
