Wren has always loved history, and she's dedicated her life to studying it. When school provides her the opportunity to study for her capstone abroad in a dangerous country, Wren jumps at the opportunity. While investigating the sight where an important princess had been killed, the ring on Wren's finger begins to glow, and she's transported back in time to the moment of the attack.

After being mistaken for the princess, Wren has to learn to survive the dangers at court, while figuring out a way to get back. Soon, she discovers the history she's learned is wrong, and uncovers the truth of the country's downfall. Will she risk her life in the future to save the past? And can she do it without falling for her betrothed, or his handsome guard?
