Magnolia Lake, a doctor who one day happened to pick up an injured man behind the hospital on her way home.

Magnolia as a nurse who went for her doctorate is kind, patient, and a soft-spoken person. She had taken care of her single mother since she became 17; that was why she became a doctor. Her mother whose husband ran away when she was 17 years old and became crazy. Her mother doesn't do anything but stare out the window, her mother doesn't eat nor drink and her mother doesn't talk at all with anyone at all.

Magnolia grew up to be a strong person despite her sweet, soft, and kind person. If she made up her mind there is nothing in the world that could shake her courage, she didn't want to be like her mother who gets left behind by her husband like her mother. She doesn't hate men but she didn't want to get entangled with them due to the mere word of "Love", she wanted to be strong alone and not get herself into love's business.

When the man she picked up fell in love with her though she refused him, she only wanted to take care of her mother. But he made her a deal that she couldn't turn down.
