Proposal?

Her friends left but she was still inside of his room, Pierre stared at her for a while as she was looking down at her hand even though she was sitting right beside him on the bed but she wasn't looking at him at all nor was she paying him any attention.

"Mag....Mag. Magnolia." Pierre called out to her and she finally looked up at him

"So...Sorry. Wha-what did you say?" Magnolia asked him and he chuckled

"I didn't say anything, I was asking if you were alright?" Pierre asked her and she nodded

"I just miss them and my mother, usually I'm never alone. I'm always with my mother and if I'm at work there's always Sabina or Beatrice with my mother and me." Magnolia said to him and he took hold of her hand

"I'm here." Pierre said to her and she looked up at him with a soft smile

"That's true, now I have one more person." Magnolia said to him and took hold of his hand that was holding hers.

"......Do you remember what you promised me when we were young?" Pierre asked her and she tilted her head 

"I've promised you a few things remember, so which one do you mean?" Magnolia asked him and he smile at her

"You promised that you would marry me, does that promise still stand?" Pierre asked Magnolia who froze at his words and she pulled away from him

"......I...." Magnolia said but he took hold of her hand again this time tighter

"I heard from Beatrice, what made you so scared of love? Can you tell me?" Pierre asked her and she looked up at him, his eye was unwavering and she couldn't help but tell him 

".....You met me before my father ran off and you know me after he ran off as well. At first, I thought that my father loved my mother the most that my mother was the luckiest woman to be loved by my father but....as time went by I figured it out. He was done with my mother and that he wasn't coming back even if we die. I became scared, scared that the person I love would leave me once they find someone new. I'm scared to love if I'm going to just end up like my mother." Magnolia said to Pierre and he pulled her in for a hug, he patted her back slowly.

"I understand.....but can you give me a chance to prove to you that I won't leave you?" Pierre asked her 

"......But only one chance if you mess it up then that's it." Magnolia said to him after she thought about it for a minute but he agreed to it right away

"Deal! I'll never do anything that would make you uncomfortable or doubt me and I would never leave you." Pierre said to her and a knock came at his door but before the two could do anything the door swung open his mother and her mother walked into the room while the two were still hugging each other.

"....What are you doing to maggie?" his mother asked him  and he quickly pulled away from her with a red face

"I-I wasn't doing anything." Pierre said to his mother but she didn't look at him, he lead Magnolia's mother to a seat and quickly pulled her towards her.

"Mag, if he does anything it's fine to just kick him or hit him anywhere." His mother said to Magnolia who chuckled 

"Aunty Pierre really didn't do anything, he was just comforting me. Also, I am a doctor I wouldn't hit my patient." Magnolia said to his mother who glared at him 

"You're lucky Maggi is protecting you or else I'll cook you alive." His mother said to him and Pierre chuckled 

"Mother am I your child or is she your child? What is this difference in treatment since she came?" Pierre asked his mother who smiled with loving eyes as she looked at Magnolia 

"If I could choose I would definitely want Maggie as my child and you be the outsider." His mother said to him and he chuckled 

"Than what should I do? Now I don't want to marry Magnolia into this house anymore, maybe I should elope with her." Pierre said to his mother who looked at him with surprised eyes

"What?! Did you ask her already?" His mother asked him and turned to look at Magnolia 

"Did you agree, please tell me you agree." his mother asked her and she chuckled 

"If he behaves I'll think about it." Magnolia said to his mother who hit him

"You hear that! You better behave! If you make my daughter in law run away, I'll kill you!" his mother said to him and he chuckled 

"Aunty please don't say that. Also if I get married who would take care of my mother?" Magnolia asked but his mother seemed to have all of the answers prepared.

"When you and Pierre were younger, your mother and I had said that if you both like each other. We would like it if you both become a family and live together with both families. What do you think?" Pierre's mother said to her but Magnolia smiled

"You are very kind, I don't doubt where Pierre got his kindness from but my mother is my responsibility." Magnolia said but her mother got up slowly and walked over to her side 

"Mo-Mother had...Recover mo-more....than be-before. Mo-mother only wa-want mag to-to be happy." her mother said to her and Magnolia blushed 

Her mother and Pierre's mother went out of them room to get lunch ready for them, leaving the two of them inside the room. Magnolia helped changed his bandage dressing, helped him get dressed and wheeled him out to have to the dining room. 

From that day on, Magnolia felt herself falling in love with him more and more but she always stop herself from falling in love with him, Magnolia didn't want to be hurt in the process like her mother and some other women in their relationships. 

While Leo clearly can see the love in her eyes for him but it was as if she dare not to move on from there with him, he had asked his mother about her father and mother's situations. Her parents married young but their love didn't last and her father left her mother with his mistress and Magnolia has to take care of her mother all by herslef.

Hearing this Pierre can understand as to why Magnolia was scared of falling in love but he was willing to understand her and wait for her to accept him as a love interest.
