Have you ever wished that could live forever? That each time you die, you just come back, alive?
    Of course you have, every normal human would. 
    But Alice isn't normal.
    She doesn't have to wish to live forever, because she does. She is a Shifter, and her Shift is a cat. They have nine lives.  Yet, her gift comes with a price. She can't fall in love. If she falls into love's trap, she will Shift permanently. Or until her nine lives are up. 
    
    Have you ever wished you could be someone else? Just for a day, live a little more interesting?
    Of course you have, every normal human would. 
    And Jack is completely normal.
    Jack is the boy everyone wants to be or be with. His life is great. Then what happens when he meets her? A girl full of mystery and surrounded with whispers. But when he gets caught up in a world of magic and curses. Sometimes, interesting isn't what you'd expect.
