"Sorry, I'm not particularly fond of the idea of killing my wife", Idris says lightly as he brings his mouth closer. "Why? Why can't you let me go?", Devaki asks shaking her head. "Ask me anything. Anything else. I'll give it to you", he says desperately as he curves his palm around the side of her neck. "Let me go", she says. "I can't do that", he says bringing their bodies closer, ignoring the hitch in her breath when their bodies rub against each other. "I hate you", she whispers as her gaze flicks between his eyes and his lips that are closing in. "I know", he whispers as he tilts her head to the side before capturing her lips in a fierce kiss that had her relaxing against his body. * * * ~Devaki~ The partition of India and Pakistan wreaked havoc in the lives of people on both sides of the border.
