In a future where everything is mapped out, a star suddenly vanishes without a trace leaving the universe and all of its inhabitants guessing where it is. One crew takes it upon themselves to find out what happened leading them to places no one thought to have existed all in the search for something more powerful and destructive than anyone can imagine. The crew is lead by an insane Captain, who although very successful is also dangerously smart, starts playing with the odds and puts the crew on the brink of disaster.
