It was a chant Madalyn Taylor told herself every day. Every day since the world ended. She didn't believe it most times, but if she said it enough times it had to come true at some point. Right?

"𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦."

Madalyn had been telling herself this since she understood what the words meant. The world ending certainly didn't help her loneliness. That is until she is found by people. Perhaps she won't be alone anymore. Maybe she can let those words die.
