Salem Ridge is the world's first Avenger.
Having crash landed on Earth during World War II, she fought alongside the super-serum soldier Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America. But when he was lost at sea, Salem Ridge remained to end the war. With unexplainable powers, and no memory of her past, Salem Ridge knows she has one purpose; protect the people of Earth from the dark forces which threaten it.
After facing Hydra, Ridge co-founded SHIELD alongside Peggy Carter and Howard Stark. Nearly 70 years after her initial fall to Earth, the non-human Salem hasn't aged a day. Instead, she has operated as the world's fiercest protector - and its best kept secret.
A new threat emerges when the mythic gods, Thor and Loki, battle on Earth, bringing a new type of threat to the forefront of SHIELD's mind. A year later, Loki returns, bent on revenge and set on world domination. With the cosmic weapon known as the Tesseract in his hands, Loki will stop at nothing to conquer the people of Earth and rule them as a king.

In the aftermath of Malekith's assault on all of the realms, Thor has made Midgard his primary home. In the midst of tragedy, his relationship with Dean further develops and the Avengers learn of the whereabouts of a missing object of vast power- the scepter Loki had wielded during his invasion of Midgard. Stolen by Hydra, an organization bent on world domination, the scepter has been used in their experiments on human test subjects. In this alternate universe, Loki is sent to Midgard after the fight over the Aether. The Avengers question the Allfather's sanity, but agree they would rather have Loki where they can keep an eye on him. So, after some extensive remodeling, the Avengers Tower and neighboring facilities are now an extensive training ground with everything they'll need to reform the once proud Asgardian prince. Thor is hopeful. He wants the brother he thought Loki was back. Clint (Hawkeye) is waiting for a reason to exact some much deserved revenge. Steve (Captain America) has hope that even the most hardened of evil doers can be changed for the better. No one quite knows what Natasha (Black Widow) is thinking. Tony (Iron Man) resents having to share his tower with a psychopath. Bruce (Hulk) did not fly away to Sakar. He's brooding away in his own private wing. Scott (Antman) is under house arrest... at the tower. Wanda (Scarlet Witch) is still mourning her brother while nurturing a still very naive Vision. (Neither are living in the tower. Will only play small, fleeting parts in this story.) Dr Strange refuses to move into the tower. After all, it is more important to keep up with his work at the Sanctum. Peter (Spiderman) is spending his summer at the Tower, much to the dismay of Aunt May, who knows how dangerous this is, but does not know Loki has returned. Sam (Falcon) will follow Cap to the ends of the earth, but refuses to jump off the proverbial bridge just because Cap's doing it. Bucky (Winter Soldier) is trying to atone for his past misdeeds, while learning what exactly they were, but is living in Wakanda with T-challa (Black Panther) so neither will be playing a large role in this story. Then there's Aite. She's new. She's the Greek goddess of mischief, delusion, folly, and ruin. You'd think her and Loki would be the best of friends... I took his hands in mine frantically, causing his eyes to meet mine. "Then hand over the Tesseract and come home, Loki. Please." "I can't." He pulled away. "If I'm not allowed rule on Asgard, then I'll rule here." My eyebrows knitted together in desperation. "Loki, pleas-" My plea was cut shot as a burst of energy and the distinctive clang of metal on metal pushed me over into the god of mischief. We stumbled backwards until I laid on his chest and he grunted from the sudden impact. "Thor." I cursed under my breath. "Sorry..." I began lifting myself off of his body. I narrowed my gaze and quickly stood to rush into Thor's aid, ignoring his dejected expression. I was about to leap off the cliff side when I heard four words that had me frozen in my place unlike anything my powers could do. "I still love you." ___________________________________________ (Y/N) Ísveig thought she'd made peace with Loki's death. She couldn't bring herself to forgive him for everything he had done, obviously, but she was finally beginning to live the life she always wanted. Though he had only known her a few days, during the battle with Loki, he found that she had completely entranced him. Ana didn't know who she was before Clint had found her and saved her. She idolised him, and followed in his footsteps, becoming an agent of SHIELD. Her life takes a complete turn, when she finds herself taken after the battle. ***** When he had returned to Midgard, Earth a few years later, with a reformed Loki, he finds that she had been missing and presumed dead almost as long as he had been gone. When the Avengers hit a Hydra base, to get back the scepter, they come across a room, where someone is bound, from the ceiling. Rescuing the fraile figure, they return to the jet victorious, only to find their rescue, is none other than Ana. She was barely conscious, and from clear signs, she was not there willingly. Taking her back to the tower, they try to help her, only to find that she has no memory of them, and now holding her own power. Thor wants nothing more than to destroy every single person who had hurt her, his need to protect her burning within him. The only comfort she finds is in his brother and the metal armed soldier, needing them both to protect her. ***** Being in a new place, surrounded by so many people, she felt overwhelmed, terrified that they would hurt her like the others.
