Aemma Arryn was promised by her grandmother that she would never marry without love and only when she wished. While her cousin Viserys has pursued her since she was eight, she has no interest in him. His father, on the other hand, catches her interest almost immediately.
Aemma arrives at court to take care of her grandmother and instead falls in love. Some people might not see it with good eyes, but she doesn't care.
