Naia grew up carrying emotional scars from a fractured family. Her father abandoned them when she was young, marrying another woman and leaving her mother to raise Naia and her twin siblings alone. Before the twins were born, Naia had already witnessed the trauma of her father's abuse toward her mother-scenes that shaped her far too early. As the eldest, she stepped into a role no child should have to fill, becoming both protector and provider to her younger siblings. Now a scholar at the University of the Philippines, Naia is determined to become a doctor-perhaps to heal not only others but the broken parts of herself as well. Meanwhile, Timothy, a student at La Salle training to be a pilot, crosses paths with her.
