Remnant's world was always plagued by the odd levels of power and scaling. Multiple factions spread across the world in ways that aren't described as real government bodies. Kingdoms are common place and tribes cause havoc when it comes to the small villages. Powers were called semblances and the people were divided into two groups; human, and faunus. There's one thing that sticks out. Kidnapping and child trafficking. Turning poor 5-year-olds into murderers. The grimm aren't the only threat. With a select few individuals coming from a different universe entirely, the scales that measure power will only creek and crack from the pressure.
