Maveline is one of few mundanes left in this world, but we aren't normal. I think the Guard just wants people underastimate us. We get hunted, hunted for something we have no control over. Our powers.

The Guard sees us as a threat and wants us all dead, it doesn't matter if we are children or adults, they just want us dead.

Normal people have powers, normal people are one of five categories, fire, earth, water, air or magic.
There is one more category, but everyone wants to forget it. Or at least try to imagine it is not there. That is the influentials, the most powerful of the six.

Maveline has been hiding who she is her entire live, the only two people alive that know she is a mundane is Izadorra her best friend and her mom.
