When Jung Wooyoung stepped onto campus as a dance major at the International University of Seoul, the last thing he wanted was drama. Between his intense rehearsals, his best friend Yeosang's new relationship, and the endless pressure to prove himself, Wooyoung barely had time to breathe-let alone deal with Choi San, the arrogant football star who seemed to exist solely to irritate him. But when a party gone wrong ends with Wooyoung being pushed into a pool-and San diving in to save him-the line between rivalry and something deeper begins to blur. Pre-debut
Wooyoung and San are both desperate to become a part of the upcoming group Ateez, but for entirely different reasons. One is fueled by compulsion, while the other by rebellion. When they compete against each other for their liberation and survival, they come to learn that not everything is as it seems. As their paths intertwine, they are willing to go to any lengths, even if it means sacrifice or betrayal. Sometimes, hated can be as strong as love and when the company has different plans for them, their dynamic might just blossom into something new and exciting. But it could also result in catastrophic events. Good or bad, every story must have an ending. This story marks the beginning of the end.
