Spencer Reid has a secret past that very few know about. One that he has kept hidden from even his closest friends turned family: His team. When a case takes the team to Las Vegas, Spencer can't help but notice the connections to his dark past, especially when it's revealed that the one person who scares him most has escaped from prison. When Spencer goes missing days into the investigation the team will have to dig into his life, uncovering secrets and trauma that they would have rather left unknown. Will the things they learn help them save Spencer or will they just lead to more questions? Will they be able to save Him and if they do, will they be able to work together to undo the damage done? The majority of this story will be very angst heavy and can be very triggering. Spencer is not having a good time in this. read at your own risk, your mental health matters!! This story and *spoilers* the "character" Spencer's brain creates to cope with the trauma is lightly influenced by the character Angel Dust from the animated show Hazbin Hotel as well as a few of the names/characters in this story. Yes i'm aware that this is very out of character and makes like no sense but it's just this idea i've had in my head for months and i had to do something about it.
